EclipseCrossword.com and Articulate Presenter ‘09

Thanks to ZaidLearn’s list of 101 Free Learning Tools (#75), I came across EclipseCrossword.com. Their claims are true…

EclipseCrossword is the fast, easy, free way to create crossword puzzles in minutes.

You can quickly generate professional-looking crossword puzzles. You can print your crossword puzzles for hard copy distribution. You can save them in formats compatible with Microsoft Word. You can even publish them as interactive web pages.

I tested EclipseCrossword by generating an interactive html page. I was testing the latest Articulate products at the same time, so I decided to see if I could embed a web object into Articulate Presenter ’09, using the EclipseCrossword puzzle I had just created. I published the results, and it was a success! Click the image below to launch the Articulate example with the embedded EclipseCrossword puzzle.

Learning games, like crossword puzzles, add interactivity to eLearning projects, and interactivity promotes comprehension and retention – in essence, interactivity promotes learning.

    Great post :)

  2. Thank you, Matthew. Let me know if you come up with any other ways to use EclipseCrossword.com – especially if you can figure out how to embed things like this directly into your wordpress.com blog. :)
